1st ever "Green Game" for College Basketball 2009
If your a fan of college basketball, or just a fan of the environment check out Michigan take on No. 1 Kansas in what is being dubbed the "Green Game". The telecast will feature earth friendly tips throughout the game. The game is on ESPN and starts at 9 am Pacific. We think this is a very commendable act on the part of all parties involved, from the schools to the network.
The so called Green Game will reach a large audience of people who otherwise would not have exposure to the importance and relative ease with which someone can reduce their impact on the environment. Hahaha. I was just reviewing an order for a pair of our girls reversible wide leg pants when i noticed the name of the purchaser. Mickey Mouse. I'm guessing it's a gift for Minnie! After cracking up i realized the check by mail option had been clicked... So even though the order was fraudulent we still got a good laugh out of it.

Hass Libre Eco Friendly Clothing will be participating in Home Walk 2009
Hass Libre, in conjunction with Music Connection and Covenant House, will be participating in United Way of Greater Los Angeles' Home Walk 2009 the morning of Sat, Nov 7.This wonderful annual event is taking place in Exposition Park. The goal is to raise as much money as possible to create pathways out of poverty for those in the greater Los Angeles area. This goal is achieved by providing housing, health care, education, and job training.
Hass Libre co-owner Andy Ar is very excited to be participating in the walk. "We are all in this together, everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams; I believe the United Ways' pro-active approach is a model for how our society can heal itself.", says Andy Ar.
