Eco Friendly Bamboo is Soft to the Touch and Beneficial

Bamboo is a vital part of the eco system. It is a strong plant that can grow faster than any other plant on Earth! Bamboo's growth rate can exceed 60 centimeters (24 inches) in a single day. Bamboo can grow in most climates and with very little water. The biggest benefit of bamboo is its ability to release more oxygen in the atmosphere than trees.

Bamboo is also known for producing environmentally friendly clothing materials. Bamboo is a superior substitute to regular cotton. Bamboo is pesticide free and grows naturally in most climates. Bamboo when produced into clothing has the softest feel to it. It is much softer than regular cotton, almost feeling like cashmere. Women will love the soft, sensual feel of bamboo clothing rather than cotton clothing. If you do not believe us judge for yourself at Hass Libre.

This is very interesting to know more about Eco friendly and organic clothes. Is there any place where I could see any photos of this bamboo and other eco apparel? I am planning to create a series of eco clothes illustrations for my fashion illustrator's blog. I will browse around your blog. May be I will find something.

It's interesting that I came across your site, as only this morning my daughter showed me her new bamboo cotton vest top. It feels very soft to the touch.

I am a pro Go green guy so everything related to this topic will make me feel happier. I really like this idea, why don't we plant more bamboo, I don't get it. I only see the positive sides if this, I can't really see what is so hard. I would also recommend to check out The Gentleman's Guide clothes which includes this great material. Hoping for a greener and brighter future.

I'm glad I found this post. I planted some bamboo in my yard as a natural, attractive barrier, instead of getting a privacy fence. As mentioned in the post, bamboo can grow virtually anywhere. I live in Ohio and the bamboo took root from some shots and roots that a friend gave me.

Earlier this spring I checked for new growth and was surprised to find new shoots that were about 8-10 inches tall. I was excited that the root system took, but I was even more excited a week later when those same shoots were about two feet tall. As of now, Mid July, they are about four to five feet tall. It is amazing how fast bamboo grows.

If you plan on growing your own, you should know that unless you plant the clumping varieties that bamboo will spread over time. That means if you plant it against a property line, you need to dig down to put in a barrier to keep the roots from spreading.

I suggest growing bamboo in your yard. It is interesting and fun to watch it progress. The shoots can be used in a lot of interesting craft projects, and I plan on doing some very cool things with our natural privacy fence shoots in the months to come.

great post on a fun plant to grow that is beneficial to our environment. Keep up the good work.
